Purposes and legal bases of processing

Information may be processed only where reasonably necessary for the operation, maintenance and improvement of the game.

Providing the game

Local game information is processed to save game progress, maintain statistics, remember settings and provide the features requested by the user.

Technical operation and diagnostics

Technical and diagnostic information may be processed to:

  • identify and correct crashes or software errors;
  • monitor application stability and compatibility;
  • improve game performance;
  • maintain support for different devices;
  • protect the integrity and security of the application;
  • investigate technical problems reported by users.

Analytics and product improvement

Limited technical or usage information may be processed to understand how the application performs, which versions are in use and whether particular features cause errors. Such information is not used to create advertising profiles.

Responding to users

Information submitted through email correspondence is processed to read and answer the inquiry, provide support and maintain a record of the communication where necessary.

Where the GDPR applies, processing may be based on:

  • performance of a service requested by the user under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR;
  • compliance with legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR;

  • consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent is specifically requested.
06

Local game data

Merge Forge 2048 stores gameplay information directly on the user’s device so that progress and settings remain available between game sessions.

Local data may include:

  • best score and highest tile;
  • game statistics;
  • sound and vibration preferences;
  • animation and enhanced-effect preferences;
  • progress-related settings;
  • other data required for normal offline operation.

This local game data is not synchronised with a CloudForge account and is not stored in a CloudForge cloud-save service.

The user may remove local game information by:

  • using the Reset Progress option available in the game;
  • clearing the application’s storage in device settings;
  • uninstalling the application.

Removing the application or clearing its storage may permanently delete saved progress and statistics. The publisher may be unable to restore this information.

07

Device and application identifiers

The game, operating system, application store or technical services associated with application distribution, diagnostics or analytics may process device or application identifiers.

Depending on device availability, operating-system permissions and integrated services, these identifiers may include:

  • application instance or installation identifier;
  • Firebase Installation ID or a similar app identifier;
  • Google Advertising ID or another platform identifier;
  • device-generated technical identifier;
  • Widevine or device-integrity identifier;
  • hardware or network identifiers, such as IMEI or MAC address, where lawfully made available by the device or operating system;
  • application package name and version identifier.

Such identifiers may be used only for purposes such as technical analytics, crash diagnostics, application security, compatibility testing and preventing technical abuse.

They are not used by CloudForge to display personalised advertising or build behavioural advertising profiles.

08

Device permissions

Merge Forge 2048 is designed to provide its core gameplay without requiring access to sensitive device functions such as contacts, precise location, camera, microphone or personal media files.

The game may use ordinary device functionality required for:

  • saving local preferences and gameplay statistics;
  • playing sound effects;
  • providing vibration or haptic feedback;
  • rendering animations and visual effects;
  • supporting normal application operation.

Available permissions and controls may vary depending on the user’s operating-system version and device settings.

09

Application stores and third-party services

Merge Forge 2048 may be downloaded through an application store such as Google Play. The store provider may independently process information relating to:

  • application installation and updates;
  • store account activity;
  • device compatibility;
  • security and licence verification;
  • store usage and download statistics;
  • crash or diagnostic reports;
  • reviews, ratings and support requests.

This processing is controlled by the relevant store or platform provider and is governed by that provider’s own privacy policy.

Technical libraries or platform services included in the application may also process limited diagnostic, installation or device information where necessary for stability, security or analytics.

10

  • bank-account details;
  • billing addresses;
  • purchase history within the game;
  • other financial credentials.
11

Sharing and disclosure of information

CloudForge does not sell or rent personal data.

Information may be disclosed only where reasonably necessary to:

  • operate, distribute, secure or maintain the application;
  • receive hosting, email or technical-support services;
  • investigate application errors or security incidents;
  • respond to a user’s inquiry;
  • comply with a legal obligation or lawful request;

Potential recipients may include:

  • application-store and platform providers;
  • technical infrastructure and diagnostic providers;
  • email and hosting providers;
  • professional legal or accounting advisers;
  • public authorities where disclosure is required by law.
12

International data transfers

Some application-store, operating-system, diagnostic or infrastructure providers may operate internationally. Technical or personal information processed by those providers may therefore be transferred to or accessed from countries outside the European Economic Area.

Where CloudForge is responsible for an international transfer of personal data, the transfer should be based on a mechanism permitted by applicable data-protection law, such as:

  • an adequacy decision;
  • approved standard contractual clauses;
  • another legally recognised safeguard;
  • a lawful derogation applicable to the circumstances.
13

Data retention

Local gameplay data is generally retained on the user’s device until the user resets the progress, clears the application’s storage or uninstalls the game.

Other information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

  • Diagnostic and technical records may be retained for a limited period required to identify errors, maintain security and improve application stability.
  • Support correspondence may be retained until the inquiry has been resolved and for a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Records required for legal claims may be retained until the relevant limitation period expires.
  • Information required by law may be retained for the legally required period.

Retention periods applied by an application store, operating-system provider or other independent third party are determined by that provider.

14

Your data-protection rights

Where the GDPR or another applicable data-protection law applies, the user may have the right to:

  • request access to personal data;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of personal data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • request data portability where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal;
  • lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.

Requests may be submitted to: contact@cloudforgeit.pl .

The publisher may request additional information where reasonably necessary to confirm the identity of the person making the request.

Because most gameplay data is stored only on the user’s device and is not linked to an account, CloudForge may not be able to access, identify, recover or delete that local data remotely.

Users in Poland may submit complaints to:

Authority President of the Personal Data Protection Office
Office Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych

15

Children’s privacy

Merge Forge 2048 is a general-audience puzzle game and is not specifically directed to children below the age at which parental consent is required under applicable law.

The game does not require users to provide a name, date of birth, email address or account profile in order to play. CloudForge does not knowingly request personal information directly from children through the game.

A parent or legal guardian who believes that a child has submitted personal data to CloudForge may contact the publisher to request review or deletion of that information.

16

Data security

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect information against accidental loss, unauthorised access, unlawful disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Relevant measures may include:

  • limiting the amount of information processed;
  • keeping gameplay progress on the user’s device;
  • restricting access to support correspondence;
  • maintaining application and server security;
  • applying software updates and error corrections;
  • using protected communication channels where appropriate;
  • reviewing technical logs and security events.

No electronic storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Safeguards are therefore reviewed and adjusted according to the nature and risk of the processing.

17

Automated decision-making and profiling

Information processed in connection with Merge Forge 2048 is not used by CloudForge for automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects for the user.

CloudForge does not use game information to create behavioural advertising profiles.

Automated technical mechanisms may be used to detect crashes, application errors, security problems or abnormal technical activity.

18

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the application, its technical features, service providers, data-processing practices or legal requirements change.

The current version will be published on this page. The effective date displayed near the beginning of the policy identifies the latest published version.

Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically, especially after installing an updated version of the game.
